Igor Stravinsky came to direct one of his works in London, at the Royal Albert Hall, if I remember well. Igor Stravinsky was quite old, and after the concert, only his family was authorized to come and see him in his dressing room. We penetrated the corridors. At the door, seeing a woman with her young son, they let us in. Stravinsky was there, he kissed us, believing himself that we were of his family!

I had also the boldness to write in the United States to Edgar Varèse who sent me back some of his scores he had corrected with his hand!
